[Winter Break] Quicker to Stillness or Wonder

Places I Love

Without a doubt, slowness is the theme of this winter break. I hope you are finding your own now as well. I am enjoying a visit back to California now. I am fortunate for such friends and family. This change of pace is nice; I have just finished my first semester in my return to graduate school.

I think of where I am and where I will spend time next. I remove myself from a need to be productive, and this brings me to recall favorite places I have been to, namely art museums like The Hirshhorn, The Kreeger, and the Getty Center.

Easily, one of my favorite aspects of an art organization is the setting it creates, its sense of place. It is such a designed space that I feel quicker to stillness or wonder and all the while a little more protected from things.
